Educational History:

I graduated Muskogee High School in 1982

I graduated from Connors State College Fall 2005 with a 4.0 gpa

I graduated from Northeastern State University Fall 2007 with a 3.8 gpa

Degrees and Certifications:

I have and Associate in Arts from Connors State College

I have a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northeastern State University

My Certifications include: Elementary Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities and Autism

This is my second year teaching in Haskell

I am currently teaching Academic Achievement


Previous Position:

I started teaching immediately out of college at Inola Public Schools, January 2008 to May 2015. 

In the 2015/16 School year I taught high school in Prue, Oklahoma.

Prior to coming to Haskell I taught 4th and 5th grade special education at Catoosa Public Schools.. 


Family Information:

I am not married. 

I have 2 Daughters; one is 27 with 2 daughters and the other is 20.

Personal Information:

I enjoy cars.  I have a 2007 Chevy Impala, 2004 Ford F150, 1997 Cadillac Deville, and a 1969 Pontiac Firebird.

I have not always been a teacher. My timeline is as follows: 

  • Graduated Muskogee High School in 1982
  • Joined the Marines and left for basic December 26 1982
  • I was trained as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. I lived there for 2 years before being deployed to Okinawa, Japan where I spent one year.
  • I finished up my tour in the Marines at Camp Lejeune December 1986
  • I promptly joined the Army National Guard where I continued as a Construction Equipment Mechanic for a few years then becoming an Operator. Once I became a Construction Equipment Operator, I went to school and become an Operator Instructor for the Army National Guard. I remained in the Army guard for 9 years.
  • I joined the Air Force National Guard in 1996. I was sent to Supply Training in Texas. I became the motor pool supply sergeant as well as running the mobility warehouse. That continued until I joined the Active Army.
  • In 1997 I joined the Army and was trained as a Paralegal. I spent 2 years at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.
  • Most Noteworthy for me was my daughter being born and earning my Air Assault Wings.
  • I was assigned to the Army Chemical Command and stationed on Johnston Island. (800 miles southeast of Hawaii. I worked as the sole legal support on the island as well as the Sgt. Major’s assistant.
  • My next posting was Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I was assigned to the Trial Defense Service where I stayed for nearly 3 years.
  • Once I left the Army, I worked with the Veteran’s Administration to get assistance for college.
  • I started College Fall Semester 2003.
  • I earned my teaching degree Fall 2007
  • I started teaching January 2008.
